Stillage Delivery and Returns Information
Please read carefully prior to ordering.
Our stillages are very heavy and bulky; therefore, we use a specialised pallet transportation company to fulfil your order. We can deliver to most of the UK for a single cost from £59.00*+vat per online order (NOT per item).
*Some postcodes are excluded from this offer – please see details below.
All deliveries are made using the UK Pallet Network. These deliveries are made using 2.5 ton or Heavy Goods Vehicles.
Please note that you should have your own forklift to unload goods. If not, please select a Lorry Tail Lift option at the checkout page. If you don’t have your own forklift and don’t choose the Lorry Tail Lift option, you may be charged a re-delivery fee as not all delivery vehicles have a tail lift fitted.
Please ensure that your premises are open to accept your delivery between the hours specified. If your premises are closed when a delivery is attempted, you may be charged a re-delivery fee.

When will your stillages be delivered?
We aim to dispatch items ordered online between 5 and 10 working days (excluding any Bank Holidays) from the date your order is placed and the order total is paid in full.
MightyLoad products are delivered in 2-3 working days.
We will contact you 24-48hrs before your order is due to be delivered to confirm your delivery date. If any delay is anticipated which will affect the delivery date of your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Prospect Engineering (MIA) Limited, trading as Metal Cages & Pallets, cannot be held responsible for the late or non-delivery of any item where this is due to circumstances outside of our control.
Can I collect my order?
For those customers who would like to collect their order from our warehouse please note that we will refund the delivery charge within 30-days.
Please remember that our products are often heavy and bulky therefore before collecting your order please ensure that your vehicle is suitable for carrying these types of loads in a safe and secure manner.
MC&P are conveniently located in the North West of England. We are 15 minutes’ drive from J23 of the M6 or J7 of the M62, and 10 minutes from the A580 East Lancashire Road.
We’re just off the A58 on Pocket Nook Street, St. Helens. For collections and deliveries our front yard can accept HGVs. Please note no collections/deliveries after 3:30pm.

Who handles deliveries?
You should arrange for someone to be present at your premises to receive and sign for your delivery on its expected delivery date. Where a delivery cannot be completed, your order will be returned to our factory. You are liable for the additional costs associated with any attempted redelivery.
Our products are heavy and bulky, and our transportation company requires direct road access to your delivery address. The transportation company will not move products, whether by hand, up or down stairs, by fork lift or by any other method.
You are responsible for moving the product from the delivery vehicle and into the delivery address, and you must ensure that you have sufficient manpower or equipment to handle your product(s).

What to do if a stillage is missing or damaged
Please note that our products are handled and delivered by national pallet networks so they may be loaded and unloaded from vehicles several times before they are finally delivered to you. This may result in products being marked, scuffed or the paintwork being lightly scratched while being handled by forklifts. These cosmetic imperfections do not impact on the durability or safety of the product.
We work hard to ensure that all our products are finished, quality-checked and delivered to a high standard. If any item is missing from your order, or where a product is damaged on arrival as a result of its transit, please call us on 01942 386 830 to discuss with our team and, where agreed, arrange for the delivery of a replacement.
Returns Information
Standard Products (not Customised Products)
A Standard Product is a product that is available to purchase directly from our website.
Your Right to Cancel. You have 14 days to cancel your order, from the day you take delivery. To cancel your order please email us at enquiries@metalcagesandpallets.co.uk.
You are responsible for the full shipping costs of returning any unwanted items.
Customised Products
We cannot accept the return of any products engineered or manufactured to the customer’s bespoke requirements other than where a product is found to have a material defect arising directly from its manufacture.
Please note that all crane lift products are classified as a ‘customised product’ as they are manufactured, examined and certified for your business only. Please ensure suitability prior to ordering.
