2. Customise your stillage
Choose how many stillage you'd like to order. We offer a number of stillage sizes to choose from up to 1.2x1.2m wide. You can also choose to add castor wheels and forklift pockets to your stillage.
3. Purchase your stillage
Metal Cages and Pallets were the first stillage manufacturer in the UK which allowed customers to buy stillages online. We have made it easy for you to make your purchase. Simply add your stillage order to your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout. Add your billing and delivery information and pay via credit or debit card. Easy! 4. Stillage delivery
We ship stillages across most of the UK for 1 fixed price. You can also choose from a range of delivery options. Choose expedited if you need your stillages quickly. We also offer delivery via lorry tail lift if you don't have your own forklift on site. We also offer AM, PM or Saturday deliveries to most UK postcodes.
Please remember that stillages are big and very heavy. We use a specialist transport company that uses HGVs and 7.5ton vehicles to deliver orders. If you'd like your stillages to be delivered to a new development site or rural farm please let us know your 'What 3 Words' so that our transport company can easily find you. A metal stillage is a robust materials handling product built for use in a wide range of industries across the UK. Metal stillages are engineered and fabricated to give years of reliable service in the toughest of environments. Metal stillages are fully-welded (not screwed or riveted) for strength and durability and are manufactured in-house using high quality steel.
Our metal stillages are delivered full-assembled and ready to go. As standard our metal stillages are painted blue, however some customers prefer them unpainted. This does mean that the stillage is prone to surface rust (e.g. if stored outside or in damp conditions) but this does not impact the performance of the stillage.

Our heavy-duty metal stillage with 4 fully-welded sides and a sheet steel base were the first metal stillages we manufactured back in 1988. This particular type of metal stillage continues to be one of our best-selling products.
This particular metal stillage is available to customise and buy from our online store in 5 different sizes, ranging from 940mm to 1200mm wide. Most of our metal stillages can be customised further, for example choose from forklift pockets and/or heavy-duty castor wheels.
Our metal stillages are manufactured using metal stacking feet, this means that you can load and stack each stillage up to 4 units high.

Metal stillage options
Customising your metal stillage with forklift pockets will allow your workforce to store, move and transport loaded and unload metal stillages more safely around the workplace. Loading metal stillages on and off HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles) is also much safer with the addition of forklift pockets.
For those organisations that might not have space or access to forklift trucks, a useful product option is the addition of heavy-duty castor wheels. Adding these to your metal stillage will allow you to move your stillages freely around your workplace. Heavy-duty castor wheels are available in several sizes to cater for different SWLs (Safe Working Loads).
Each castor wheel features a 360-swivel action and a locking brake facility, allowing you to safely move, store and load metal stillages.
We also offer a wide range of crane lift metal stillages (often referred to as lifting baskets). These metal stillages include 4 lifting lugs positioned at each corner of the stillage. A full-range of crane lift stillages are available to buy direct from our online store.
