What is a metal post pallet?

A metal post pallet is a heavy duty loading, handling and logistics product with a flat base and posts at each corner. Strong, space-saving metal post pallets are a durable and reusable alternative to wooden pallets. A metal post pallet may be customised in a particular way, for example with the addition of castor wheels, forklift guides or a reinforced base bracket instead of a solid steel base, to allow for the handling of specific products.

What is a metal stillage or cage?

A metal stillage or cage is different from a metal post pallet due to its design, generally incorporating solid or mesh side walls, dividing sections, access doors or other features. As with a metal post pallet, a metal stillage can be customised with additions such as castor wheels for ease of movement, forklift guides for safe mechanical lifting, or alternative shapes and sizes to accommodate specific materials.

Heavy duty metal stillages are made from strong mild steel, and steel box section is always used for supports and corners to ensure stability and strength.
